Afternoon Tea Party
Although we love what we do at Grazie Gifts, we love event styling too! We have had the honor to help many brides plan their weddings, organizations plan successful events and recently our local Catholic Women's League plan their first Afternoon Tea Party!
It was held at St. Philip Catholic Church Hall in the lovely historical village of Richmond this past May. The event features decor pieces that brought out the event's theme "GOD IS BEAUTY". The menu and beautiful musical performances completed the atmosphere for the afternoon.
We made the centerpieces using artificial flowers. This was a request of our client, so that they can be used for future events. The lace overlays added elegance and completed the table decor, giving it an Tea Party afternoon feel.
We had some gorgeous pieces loaned to us by Angelina Wrona of Anarchy Gallery in Merrickville, ON. Beautiful statement pieces, like the above multi-stacked tea cups and saucers. It was quite the conversation piece.
We were extremely lucky to have worked with a group of women for the CWL committee that loved garage sales, and boy did they ever find some exquisite pieces. This tea cup and saucer set was my favorite.
I work for an Event and Wedding Planning School, and I always tell my students that being present and observing the event unfold is what will make you a successful event planner. If you don't know what doesn't work, how can you fit it next time? We were fortunate enough to have been invited to sit and enjoy one of the Tea Party seating.
The musical performances were beyond our expectations. I can not stop singing the praises of musicians Lucile Hildesheim and Peter Stuyt.
We enjoyed working with the St. Philip CWL and are looking forward to next year's event. What is the Tea Party's theme? Well, that will have to remain a surprise....at least for a bit. ~ Anita, IEWP
